Housed inside a recently completed glazed pavilion wedged between two boulders in the Mojave desert, NN's gallery space is an action both within and against the overwhelming landscape that surrounds it. To emphasize the fact of this enclosure, and our great pride in it, we present Interiors an exhibition focused entirely on interior space refracted through our social, physical and economic realities. Interiors attempts a pyrrhic thrust against the landscape outside NN's "walls," a reaction to the dominant approach to the Mojave desert in art. In the contradictory attempt to focus on the space inside when that space itself is so entirely subsumed in the landscape Interiors aims at an unlikely re-balancing of the dynamic between landscape and enclosure.

Interiors is the inaugural exhibition at NN the opening is on Dec. 5th, 2015 from 1-5pm. It will be open by a ppointment thereafter. The exhibition closes Feb. 5, 2016.
